12/28/2010 It's been a long run

Hello everyone, I hate to post this but it's looking bad for minecaste. Chances are we wont survive more than a few more weeks. The main issue here is lack of new players. We quite simply can't support server costs anymore. I don't want to shut down this server, I don't want to rip apart the community, and I don't want to destroy all the hard work myself and others have put into this server.
I love minecaste and I love all the people, we will continue to maintain the server as long as possible, but I'm simply stating this now so that their isn't confusion on a sudden close. We simply don't have the funds required to maintain the server, and without a sudden burst of new income the future is looking grim.

Nobody wants to see their hard work go away, and it doesn't have to if just a few of you guys pony up the money and help us get through this next month!

We do, however, their has only been one donation all month.

perhaps i can donate 5 i'll see

People if you cant donate there are multiple other things you can do such as make players want to stay on the server by being nice

OR

BUMP THE MINECRAFTFORUM THREAD

or

Make a video showing all the great stuff on the server

we will post it in the main thread on minecraft forum

if these things are accomplished the server will be up for much longer

I will make a video showing all of the cities and metro today, I'll try to get it to look as nice as possible.

Edit: Maybe tomorrow, we've been busy making sure all cities look better.

you chould make it a dolwloadble map so catle will live on forever and ever im going to miss the sever even if people started to bully me beacuas of a peety matter of spelling and i think i have some city ideas
edit i may give 50 bucks and if i cant do that isulven may donat 50 someone else is taking about donatin 150 and modo and demp may donat 25 and 25 so if all of ous donat we make 300$

we chould make a minecastle youtube channel and post our videos there

If we received that much in donations we wouldn't have to worry for the next 5 months.

The refund thing is from non matching payment options. I blocked out peoples names for privacy. Light speed gaming is vent.

Well, I think we should do two things.
1. Use the forums post to our full advantage
2. Release a youtube video.

I'll see if I can donate $5 to the cause

If someone makes a good video for this caste, and everyone uploads them to YouTube and forums, we could have more attention from other people.
Also donated $15.- should arrive in 5 days or earlier.
