Old Town and New Town

I have three things to say.
1. I'm wondering if we are just abandoning old town completely and never going back.
2. I have chests in Old Town with lots of rare stuff. Is there anyway i can get them back?
3. Is there any particular rules about the running of New Town which i need to be aware of?

I went to the old town and gathered up all my stuff that was worth taking. As for rule, you need to purchase a plot to build within city limits.

You may use old world if you want however, It's no longer spawn and takes a while to walk to. You may get their through the underground tunnel or by riding the waterside.

At first I was a bit annoyed walking whole way to Old Town, but now I'm kinda happy - it keeps griefers off my home.
